As human beings, from time to time we speak empty, void words. We make promises and for some reason or another don’t keep them. Some make threats and are not strong enough to follow through with them. Others with good intentions, say things and don’t do them.
Even doctors can fail when it comes to their words. They can tell people that everything will be okay, and things end up going wrong. A lawyer can promise a person victory and they end up losing the case. A judge, a contractor, a pastor, and anyone else can speak void words. But not God!
God never speaks a word and takes it back, and His word never fails.
When He speaks, you can be sure it will be fulfilled. That’s why He says in Isaiah,
“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth;
Isaiah 55:11
It shall not return to Me void,”
Human beings say, “my word is my bond”, but they don’t mean it. But when God speaks, He means business. So if He promises to bless you, you can be sure that He will fulfill it. If He says that a certain behavior will bear consequences, you can be sure that it will. If He gives direction or guidance, you can be sure that it will work. God does not fail. And His word is never void.
With that being said, from today you should really take God at His word and believe in everything He has promised. Base your entire life on His word and believe that it will be fulfilled. From that very moment you will begin to see the fruits of His word sprouting up in your life. And it will continue day by day.
May the God of the Bible bless you
