It’s natural to seek ways to feel more secure in the face of daily risks, such as wearing a bulletproof vest or driving a bulletproof car. These items are designed to ensure safety against external threats, providing a barrier that prevents danger from reaching us.
But what about the spiritual world? How can we be safe from the attacks of evil, from what we cannot see but know exists?
When we have God’s Spirit within us, we are shielded from the enemy’s attacks. The Holy Spirit protects us from spiritual assaults by the devil.
The devil cannot touch those filled with the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit is the very power of God dwelling within us.
The word of God says:
“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” (Acts 10:38)
This verse clearly shows that the Holy Spirit is God’s power in action. Jesus overcame the devil because He was filled with this power. The same happens when we are filled with the Holy Spirit. In this case, the devil has no power over us because where the Holy Spirit is, there is no room for evil.
Receiving the Holy Spirit means being shielded from the enemy’s attacks and walking with the certainty that no force of evil can reach us.
If you haven’t yet received the Holy Spirit, make receiving Him your top priority. This is the greatest protection we can have, not just for this life but for eternity.
