What don’t you leave home without? Keys, cell phone, money? There are things we don’t leave home without because we know we’ll need them, and we never want to be without them. Other things to consider are the things we cannot live without. The things that our life depends on are much more than a set of keys or a phone.

Moses was well aware of the things he needed in life. He saw great miracles, time and time again. He saw the power of God in his life. Like many today do. Many have seen miracles, received blessings, healing, prosperity, and so on. While those things show the power of God, they are only temporary. The true glory of God is having His Spirit living inside of us. This is what Moses understood.

Then he said to Him, “If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here.” Exodus 33:15

If God’s presence is not with us, nothing can compensate for it. A blessing is wonderful, but it cannot take the place of the Holy Spirit. If a person has riches, marriage, businesses, and good health but does not know God, all those things equate to nothing because they do not know the Lord.

And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.” Exodus 33:18

Each day, we must remember the things we cannot live without, and the number one must always be the presence of God.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
