“Trust but verify.” This is an old proverb that many can relate to. People often find themselves in situations where they feel disappointed, betrayed, tricked, or deceived. As human beings, our default setting is to look out for ourselves, so it shouldn’t be shocking when another human being shows their true nature.
Perhaps you have felt the pain of being disappointed by someone, or maybe you were the disappointment! The bottom line is that people may fail us, but God never does. The Bible states it clearly:
“God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19
God doesn’t fail, and He doesn’t lie. If His Word promises to bless you, then prepare yourself to be blessed. If the Word says to trust in Him, then do so and reap the rewards. When we do our part, we have the certainty that God will do His part.
When He says something, it isn’t a matter of, “Will He?” It is simply “When He will!”
May the God of the Bible bless you!
