Vashti was frustrated because she had a religion but wasn’t seeing God’s power. She had parents who provided for her; she did well. She went to school and graduated as a registered nurse.
She attended church but was still unfulfilled by living a clean life. She was taught Bible verses, but there was no direct connection to say that when she prayed, she knew beyond a shadow of a doubt there would be an answer, even though reading it in the Bible.
She had a sincere conversation with God.
She asked, “God, where are You? What’s the matter, what’s going on?”
She would be so distraught; there she was, doing her best trying to walk the talk and everything, but wasn’t getting the answer.
She couldn’t understand because she never had a life of drugs, drinking strong drinks, or smoking; she never did it in her life! But the more she prayed, the more problems arose! This was the breaking point for her.
At her lowest point, her niece invited her to The University Church. She accepted the invitation and has not looked back!
She learned the difference between religious and intelligent faith. She stated, God is within; this is not about clapping at the music and this and that…
One point she said to herself: “I don’t have to go to two churches, she made a decision. She ended her story by reflecting on the lessons she learnt in the Universal Church.
She was taught how to exercise her faith; now she knows beyond a shadow of a doubt that intelligent faith brings the answer!
