Please take a minute to read these two verses and really think about what they are saying. God is making it crystal clear, what brings the blessing and what causes the curse in someone’s life.

Read for yourself:

If you are willing and obedient,
You shall eat the good of the land;

But if you refuse and rebel,
You shall be devoured by the sword”;
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken. Isaiah 1:19-20

Those who are willing to OBEY God will “eat the good of the land”… but what does that mean? It means that they will live a blessed life. They will have all that they need financially, they will have a clean bill of health, their family will be at peace and united, they will be strong spiritually, basically… they will have a complete life!

But those who refuse (are rebellious) will be devoured by the sword (war, pestilence, sickness, misery, death, etc).

Many years ago Abel chose to obey and presented to God a sacrifice that marked the earth (the Altar). And through his sacrifice and obedience, he is still remembered for that until this very day.

Cain was rebellious and killed his brother and was marked with a curse.

I myself don’t know anyone named Cain, because of his mark. However many people like Cain have been cursed wherever they go. Why? Because they are disobedient and refuse to obey the Altar.

Be wise and receive the blessing of God in your life.

May the God of the Bible Bless You
