When you kiss a loved one:
Mother
Father
Sister
Brother
Husband
Wife
Why do you do it?
I believe we will all answer the same: We love them—this is a way of showing our affection for them.
We can also agree that it’s not every day you feel like kissing them, right? Every family has its differences, but one thing essential for any family to thrive is sincerity! You know that loved one who doesn’t weigh the words and just tells you LIKE it is? Even though it might hurt your feelings when it is said, it is much better than the “kiss” of deceit!
Do you remember these two men from the Bible: Peter and Judas? Peter was a hothead, the one who cut the soldier’s ear, and he also denied the Lord Jesus, but he was sincere! Judas was calm, but he was not sincere! If you had a choice, which one would you want to be?
One thing is clear: neither of them had the Holy Spirit when they committed these mistakes. However, both got the opportunity and sadly, only one took it: Peter, who was used in a great way to spread the gospel!
Maybe when you look at yourself, you see Peter’s characteristics: You are a hothead, and you snap for the smallest things. I have a suggestion for you: Take this time to invest in your spiritual life. This is the opportunity to seek the Holy Spirit: the Spirit of Truth that Judas didn’t have, and he ended up committing suicide!
The Holy Spirit is the only guarantee that we have to live a pure and sincere life and the guarantee of salvation in the end! If you want to join us in this great investment, visit The Universal Church near you and ask about the purpose of the Holy Spirit this week.
Remember: it is better to get the slap of truth than the “Kiss” of deceit. Run away from people who act like Judas; it is all for your good!
May the God of the Bible bless you!
