What are some monthly bills people usually pay? Let me name a few:
Electric
Gas
Water
Mortgage
Phone
Car note
Insurance
Can you imagine someone going to their phone company every month crying and complaining that they received a bill this month?
Bills are acquired, and they must be paid. It’s part of life. Complaining or crying will not pay the bills.
Problems are like monthly bills; they come every month. We pay this month, and then another bill comes for us to pay next month. When problems come, our faith in action is the key to overcoming them. This faith must be consistent and not just for a time—we must use faith every day.
Look what happened when Peter used his faith for a moment:
And Peter answered Him and said, “Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water.” So He said, “Come.” And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to go to Jesus.
This was possible because he was looking to the Lord Jesus, and the miracle happened! This is what happens when faith is active. However, the opposite happens when doubt takes over and when we focus on the problems instead of the solution.
But when he saw that the wind was boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!”
Don’t allow the problems to overcome you. Overcome the problems with active faith—Cry out to the Lord Jesus, and He will come to your rescue immediately!
And immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and caught him, and said to him, “O you of little faith, why did you doubt?” (Matthew 14:28-31)
His outstretched hand is still available to help you today. Take hold of it, and never let go!
Solve this problem today, pay the bill with your faith in action, and be ready for the problems of this New Year. This is the greatest analogy!
May the God of the Bible bless you!
