There are many titles to describe someone who is the best in their field: “MVP,” “Champion,” “Gold Medalist,” and “Five-star service,” just to name a few. However, none of these words can compare to “Lord.”

“Who has performed and done it,
Calling the generations from the beginning?
‘I, the Lord, am the first;
And with the last I am He.’”
Isaiah 41:4

Perhaps you have sought help from someone acclaimed as the best—the best lawyer, doctor, employer—someone you were assured could solve your problem, but the complete opposite happened. You may have been sent away with negative results and empty promises, and your problem was deemed unsolvable.

The good news is that person does not have the final say. While they may be great at their job, their word—the diagnosis that you received, the case that every lawyer has told you was lost, your child that you are fighting for who has been proclaimed the black sheep, and so on—is not the determining factor for your life.

No one has been able to guarantee your victory, but the Lord can. He is the first and the last word. You have already turned to many outlets for help, but have you sought the Creator of Heaven and Earth? Surely, the one who created man and gave him the wisdom to help others can solve your problem. While man reaches his limits, God never does. His power is never-ending, and He has the solution you have been searching for.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
