What do you normally do when you are carrying a heavy weight? The simplest answer is to ask for help.
Imagine emptying an entire house all by yourself, carrying a couch, then a refrigerator, then a bed, all alone. You would have to be incredibly strong, and chances are you couldn’t do it without help.
Why then, do we often find ourselves trying to carry the burdens of life by ourselves? Or even worse, we try to put our burdens on others, hoping they will be able to solve them for us. The reality is they are human just as we are, but there is an answer for you who feel burdened and alone.
First of all, you are not alone, and secondly, you can give your burdens to the Lord. In fact, His Word urges us to do so.
Give your burdens to the Lord,
and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.
Psalms 55:22
If you feel as though your life has been on a slippery slope, then rest assured that you will not fall. Whatever the burdens may be that you have been carrying around, whatever the problems are that you have been facing all by yourself, whatever lies have entered your mind to tell you that you can’t overcome, give them over to God. He will take care of it. The burdens of this life were never meant to be faced alone. He is there for you.
May the God of the Bible Blessings you!
