Have you ever been in a situation where you thought your idea was a bright one, but everyone else thought it was a lost case? How did you handle the situation? Did you allow the majority to rule, or did you stand your ground and prove them wrong?
This is not an easy situation; it’s like driving in the opposite direction or swimming against the tide where only the strong can maintain course, achieve victory, and prove everyone wrong. Do you have the guts for such things?
A man in the Bible found himself in a situation like this: swimming against the tide, but he didn’t allow the multitude to change his course.
And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, ‘Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.’ But the men that went up with him said, ‘We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. (Numbers 13:30-31)
Consistently, some people will tell you otherwise and try to stop you, but it’s up to you to stay on course. This is called faith: when your eyes see the total opposite, but you still believe.
Your faith can be tried a great deal when it comes to your health. Your eyes see the medical report, and your doctor gives the deadly diagnosis, but what does the Word of God say? Now, don’t get me wrong; I don’t have anything against doctors, but I always say, “Use your faith!”—Especially when human capabilities have reached their limit.
Are you ready to swim against the tide? It’s a matter of faith, and no one can do this for you; it’s something personal. Only you can turn this “No” into a “YES.”
May the God of the Bible bless you!
