No one likes getting lost. So much so that there are numerous maps to get you where you need to go. Imagine being stranded in the middle of nowhere with no cell phone. After all, that is our greatest lifeline here on Earth. It seems that without it, we wouldn’t know the time or how to get anywhere, and we wouldn’t have contact with anyone. But imagine if, when you need it most, it fails you. Maybe that’s happened to you once or twice, and you had to find your way out.
If only we had this same kind of guide for life that could get us where we need to go. We have one, and this guide never dies; He is always with us.
“In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:6
The “Him” in this verse refers to the Lord God, and this verse urges us to acknowledge Him. Just as you do not go a day without looking at your phone, don’t go a day without His Word. You never travel to a new location without GPS. In the same way, do not take on a new challenge without seeking His wisdom. You always keep an eye on your battery so it doesn’t run out. Keep an eye on your relationship with Him so it is always strong.
When we put it like this, it seems so simple. Acknowledge Him. When God is with you, you will never get lost or be led astray. He will direct your paths.
