Words have power. Surely you have heard that saying before. We have to watch the things we say because they might just happen. Perhaps you’ve experienced this. Maybe something so simple but you said it and low and behold it happened. We have the power in our words to create or destroy. This power comes from the One who created us.
“ Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.” Ezekiel 37:12
What is a prophecy? Words spoken with assurance. When you speak life over yourself you are speaking as though it was God speaking to you. When you determine your healing from this disease, the blessing in your family, the miracle you are waiting for in your finances, you are determining the life that God wants to see for you.
In the same way your words can also prophecy evil. Don’t determine that this cancer will be the end of you, nor prophecy the end of your marriage because of recent fights. Allow the Word of God to be the guide for your tongue.
