It is scientifically proven that when we do not get enough sleep our body reacts. Some symptoms are:
⁃ Low energy
⁃ Headaches
⁃ Depression
⁃ Anxiety
⁃ Poor decision making
⁃ and the list goes on

We also see how the body reacts on restful sleep. We see it in babies all the time. They sleep sweetly and soundly. They have peace of mind that they are loved and cared for. Today you are filled with responsibilities, people who need your attention, a job, things that you have to do, but this doesn’t mean that you can’t sleep as soundly as you once did. This peace of mind is still available to you today.

The word of God says:

“I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.”
Psalms 4:8

Maybe you have not felt peace in a long time. As a result, you toss and turn all night and before you know it it’s morning and time to go to work. The entire day is filled with anxiety and you’re in a bad mood. However, when you finally do get the chance to sleep it is the same old routine.

There is a way out of this cycle. God wants you to live in safety. Make Him a part of your sleep routine. Before laying your head on the pillow, ask God to bring you peace and safety. Give it a try and see if you won’t sleep like a baby.

The challenge has been set!

May the God of the Bible bless you!
