When something is on its ‘last legs” it means that thing is one step away from giving up. We’ve all experienced this in some form. Holding on to a phone that no longer works as it should, a car that you’ve had for years, a favorite piece of clothing that is falling apart. Usually, when others see it, they say those famous words: “Just buy a new one!”

There are some things, however that aren’t as easy to replace. There are some things you can’t buy. You can’t buy a new mind, a new heart, a new life. There is no buying a new you and perhaps you are that thing that’s on its last legs. Your life has dwindled down to the bone and you feel like you’re walking around just waiting for the end.

Do you believe that God is able to revive your life? He has done it before and He can do it once again. Look at what the Bible says when the prophet Ezekiel stood in a Valley of dry bones.

“Son of man, can these bones live?” Ezekiel 37:3

Maybe you ask yourself if your life can change – if your health can be restored, if your marriage can be happy once again, if you will ever be financially stable, can your life have meaning once again. The answer is yes. God remains the same and He can restore you, just as He restored those bones.

“This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.” Ezekiel 37: 5

This message is for you. If you believe and hand your life of dry bones over to God, He will breathe life back into you. No one may believe in you, but He does. People may see you and ask, will his or her life ever change?

Yes, it will. Don’t give up on yourself.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
