Imagine you’re using a smartphone or a computer, and it starts malfunctioning or becomes slow due to multiple apps running in the background. Sometimes, hitting the reset button can help resolve those issues and bring back its optimal performance.
Well, imagine if such a ‘Reset Button’ existed for your life!
In John 3:6-7, it is written: “Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.'”
In this verse, Jesus explains to Nicodemus that there are two types of birth – a physical one, where we are born from our parents, and a spiritual one, which occurs when we are “born again” through the Holy Spirit. This spiritual birth offers a fresh start and the opportunity for a new life.
Just as hitting the reset button on our devices resolves technical issues, being born again serves as the reset button for our souls. It presents an opportunity for a fresh start.
When one is born again, this person lets go of past sins, grudges, resentment, and a life dominated by earthly desires and emotions to start a new life led by the Holy Spirit.
So, take hold of this incredible opportunity and press the ‘Reset Button’ in your life!
