With all the disasters that are happening all over the world, we see that time is fading away. The end is really near. Some account it to nature and science etc., but the fact of the matter is that no one can live forever and although we are so busy with the day to day hustle and bustle, there comes a time when we must all think about what happens after. What will happen after this world has come to an end?

The Word of God teaches us about this when it says: “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”

Matthew 7:21

Your title in a church or the length of time you’ve been there cannot guarantee your eternal salvation. You cannot hide behind the ‘works’ you do in your church. God wants us to practice what we preach! His concern for you is if you really follow (obey) Him or if you are just saying that you do.

There are so many voices and obligations in our lives and many times they shout louder than the voice of God. It is easy to get caught up in life, and end up living in a way that displeases Him. God wants us to think about the after. He wants you to be among those who are saved so He is teaching us exactly how to achieve that.

Read the above verse again and understand that nothing is hidden from God. Don’t be among those who profess a faith but do not live it. That doesn’t work for God.

May the God of the Bible bless you,

Bishop Joshua Fonseca
