In a few days, a new year will be upon us. For many, that means it’s the time of year again to write down all the plans they hope to accomplish. Perhaps you had a similar list last year, the year before, and all the years before. You, like many, have fallen into the New Year Routine of writing resolutions that you just don’t seem able to keep.

If you were to look back on all of your resolutions for the past 10 years, how many of those plans have been successfully accomplished? Maybe one or two or perhaps, unfortunately, none. You write your dreams and goals, but somewhere along the line, things begin to fail, and you can never tell where it all went wrong.

Let’s not worry about where it all went wrong. Let’s, instead, work on how we can make this new year right.

“Commit your works to the Lord,
And your thoughts will be established.” Proverbs 16:3

Before you attempt any goal, chase any dream, or write any resolutions, present this year to God. It isn’t enough to do the physical. Without God in the lead, 2025 is destined to be just one more year of somewhat accomplished goals. But with this year in His hands, your plans will be successful because He will take you there.

Locate your nearest Universal Church and join us for the Night Vigil of the Family, where we will break into the new year by presenting our goals and our loved ones into God’s care.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
