Do you ever feel like every time you take one step forward, you wind up taking two big steps backward? I’m sure for many of you reading this right now, that has been the story of your life. You got a good job, you were excited, you even went home and celebrated, only to lose it after just a couple of months and fall deeper into the hole financially. You got into a relationship for the fourth time in ten years, just trying to trust again. But you wound up getting cheated on and having to start all over. You forgave your son for what he did, and he promised not to do it again, so you gave him a chance, but he got into worst trouble and you had to bail him out of jail again.

There are these cycles of problems in the life of many. Problems that go and come, then go and come. You’re like a rat on a wheel… you never can get ahead. And that is what is the most frustrating.

I know what you are going through. Haggai 1:9 says:

“You looked for much, but indeed it came to little;”

This is what we call a curse. A curse is not just something you see in movies but is when a person’s life can not get ahead no matter how much they try. Or strange problems keep on plaguing a person until they feel like giving up.

The curse can be broken, but it doesn’t happen by chance. It happens when a person makes the effort to fight against it through faith and obedience to God, and through total trust toward God and surrender of their own will. It’s your all for God’s all. If you want to break the curse, then that is the price. There is no way to bargain or compromise. It’s all for all. And this curse will be broken.

May the God of the Bible Bless You
