If one action could change your life, what action would you take today? Maybe you were thinking about going back to school, getting a new job, or learning a new skill. You are thinking of all the things that could improve your life in the long run. But think about an immediate change—A thing you can do right now that could take you out of the suffering you are experiencing at this moment. Just like the woman with the issue of blood who found herself suffering for 12 years with the same problem, but with one action, she changed her life in an instant.
“Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years, when she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.” Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.”
Mark 5:25, 27-29
The Bible describes her flow of blood as a fountain because, for years, day after day, she bled nonstop, and no one could help her. Maybe you relate to her story because day after day, you suffer, and no help has come to you. No matter what you do, it seems a fountain of problems continues to flow out of your life. Look at her example. She recognized that one action of faith could change her life and went after it no matter the cost.
What action of faith will you take today? Will you take the opportunity to touch Jesus’ garment? This Sunday, at your nearest Universal Church, there will be an opportunity to do just that. You will have the chance to touch Jesus by faith. Make this one decision, and your years of suffering can also come to an end.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
