The word nothing can be compared to the number zero. I am not a Mathematician, but I am sure that if I add zero to five, it will not change the value of five. What I’m getting at is that this is not difficult to understand. Just like in life, some things are easy to understand. But sometimes, people still complicate them.

God always uses simple examples to get His point across. Just like this example below:

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

(John 15:5)

I want you to pay attention to the word nothing (remember the number zero above). If He says we can do nothing (0) without Him, then why do people complicate things by trying to do everything without Him? How many are trying to have peace, stability, a strong marriage, prosperity, and so forth without Him? And it never works.

Why is it so easy to accept a simple math equation but so difficult to accept the simplicity of the Word of God that can transform your life?

Just like you can’t cut a branch from a tree and expect fruit from that broken branch, you can’t live disconnected from God and expect a fruitful life.

Let us reason together for a moment. If He says we can do nothing without Him, then we can safely assume that we can do ALL things with Him! The math is simple.

May the God of the Bible bless you.
