Imagine if you lived on the Las Vegas strip, surrounded by all the wild parties, basically legal prostitution, gambling crazed, nightclubs everywhere, and pretty much everyone on board with what is going on around them. Now imagine you are the only one that doesn’t agree with what is happening and decides that you will not participate in these “festivities”. Everyone will call you crazy and think that you are out of your mind.

Noah was that kind of guy. He was a righteous man, the bible says:

Noah was a Just man, perfect in his generation. Noah walked with God.
Genesis 6:9

He was perfect in his generation; a generation full of pagans, people that were evil, idolaters, people who committed incest, who slandered God and everything that was good. That was the generation that Noah lived in. So horrible that God had to send the flood waters to wipe them away because they were so evil. They were people that were spiritually ugly; not in their appearance but in doing all types of ugly things. And yet Noah was perfect among them… meaning he did not do the same things that they did.

We must all learn to become a modern-day Noah. Someone that refuses to do evil, even though everyone else is doing it. Someone determined to please God, even if no one else wants to. Being a Noah means being different. Being obedient to God. Being a servant of God.

God does not expect perfection from us. But he does expect righteousness from all of us. Live a righteous life before God, just as Noah did and you will have God’s favor and justice in your life.

May the God of the Bible Bless you
