If you go to the doctor because you are experiencing pain or some other negative symptoms, and he gives you a treatment plan, but you second guess it or disobey it. How will you ever benefit from that visit to the doctor? You will not.

There are people who say they have faith and are ready to receive a miracle, but when they hear what it will take to receive it, they doubt and most times don’t do what was instructed. And if they do, they do it their own way.

We see two cases in the Bible that perfectly illustrates this. One is the case of Naaman, and the other is the case of the blind man.

Naaman was told to go a wash in the Jordan river seven times and he would be healed. But look at his response;

“Naaman became furious, and went away and said… Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel?”

(2 Kings 5:11-12)

Naaman was told what to do but immediately questioned it. No wonder why he had to dip seven times to be healed!

But the blind man on the other hand, after being told to do something extremely hard;

“Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went and washed, and came back seeing.

(John 9:7)

Although what he was being asked to do was much harder, he did it without question. And that is the difference in those who see the miracles quickly and those who take long to see the miracle. The difference is their commitment to obey what they are instructed to do, no matter how hard it is.

Now you have to decide if you will have faith like Naaman or faith like the blind man. Only you can choose.

May the God of the Bible bless you
