“Things will get better.” “Everything will be okay.”
These are among the long list of kind words offered in the face of tough times. Often, people don’t know what to say or do when someone is going through a challenging moment, but offering a kind word can make a big difference. However, words can only go so far.
A promise, on the other hand, is not just a word. It is a word that will be fulfilled. From the moment a promise is made, its fulfillment is put into effect.
Perhaps you need the promise of hope right now, the promise that the problem you are facing has an end. A promise of healing, strength, overcoming, or justice. No matter what you need, the Word of God has this promise for you.
“For I will turn their mourning to joy,
Will comfort them,
And make them rejoice rather than sorrow.”
Jeremiah 31:13
These are promises. God will turn your mourning into joy. He will comfort you, and you will rejoice because His promises are not just words; they will happen.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
