Some things are easily fixable as long as the foundation is intact. A house, for example, may have broken furniture, broken lightbulbs, broken appliances, or need new paint on the walls, but these issues are easily fixed. As long as the foundation is strong, the house is able to be refurbished. In that house, walls can be torn down, a new roof can be added, new furniture can be purchased, and it will transform into a brand-new home. However, if the foundation is weak, there is very little that can be done.
This same principle applies to us. We face hardships in life, setbacks, disappointments, etc. However, if our foundation is strong, we can overcome anything. You will not be broken by bad news.
The spirit of a man will sustain him in sickness,
But who can bear a broken spirit?
Proverbs 18:14
Maybe you are living in a moment of hardship right now. You received bad news about your health or have been dealing with a problem that seems to have no end. When you are strong in your spirit, you can overcome anything. This strength can only come from God. Only His Spirit living within us can strengthen us to face the difficulties of this life. His Spirit allows us to see beyond our circumstances and feelings; we see through the eyes of faith.
Make this part of your foundation. Look at the situations you face through the eyes of faith in the Living God. After all, nothing is impossible for Him; therefore, nothing will be impossible for you!
May the God of the Bible bless you,
