Like father, like son. I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase before – usually used when a child’s similarities to his parent is undeniable. The way they walk, talk, smile etc. shows that they truly are their father’s child. Perhaps you also see it in the little things you do. A phrase that you use or the way that you laugh… You see your parent in yourself.
We also have a Heavenly Father and we should also see Him in ourselves. This means that our life has to reflect God.
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him…” Genesis 1:27
God created us in His image. Imagine this: God brings health so how can we accept sickness. He also brings peace, so how can we accept depression. Those who are the image of God should not accept to be sick, broken, depressed, failing and so on, because God is none of those things.
If your life hasn’t been reflecting God, ask your Father for help. He will answer you and help you, just as a loving father does.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
