Imagine walking around with something old, broken, and cracked. Then, out of nowhere, receiving a brand-new replacement for it. What would you do? Maybe you’re thinking of something you have right now that is in that state and saying to yourself, “I would throw out the old immediately!”
That would be the logical response because there is no use hanging on to the old once you have the new. The same should apply when we consider our lives.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
2 Corinthians 5:17
This newness doesn’t come through simply entering a church. It comes when entering a true relationship with God. The old behaviors, attitudes, thoughts, and lifestyles pass away. It’s no use to hang on to the old life if you desire a new one. They can’t coexist. The new will never try to fit in with the old.
If you have been stuck between the two, then today is the day to make a choice.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
