Imagine someone who has spent years studying wild animals but has never encountered a lion. They’ve learned about lions through books and other people’s stories, but it’s all been secondhand information. Then, one extraordinary day, they go on a safari and directly encounter a lion in its natural habitat. This firsthand experience allows them to understand on a much deeper level.

“Knowing” involves a direct and personal experience, while “hearing” means receiving information through a third-party.

In the biblical story of Job, we find a classic example of someone who went through a profound experience of knowing God after only previously hearing about Him.

When Job faced devastating losses and intense suffering, there were moments when he questioned and struggled with his situation. However, it is essential to note that he never blamed God.

In the hardest moment of his life, Job got to know God. He could see God’s greatness, sovereignty over all things, and mysteries beyond human understanding. Job confessed, “I had only heard about You before, but now I have seen You with my own eyes” (Job 42:5).

The story of Job teaches us that, although we may face moments of suffering and difficulties, it is important not to blame God. Instead, we should trust in God. Sometimes, it may take time to understand God’s purposes and plans, but we can trust that He is in control and working for the good of those who love Him.

Are you going through difficult times? Don’t blame God! It’s time for you to take this moment to truly have a firsthand experience with Him.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
