We often overlook ordinary things because they seem familiar and expected. Like falling rain: it’s a familiar sight. A boat on the ocean waves, a bird taking flight, or even a dry bush in the hot desert – we consider these things unexciting and ordinary, simply more of what we expect to see.
You might feel the same: just another face in the crowd, having a life where nothing extraordinary ever seems to happen. Perhaps that’s how you view your existence… mostly filled with challenges rather than growth opportunities. In that case, there’s something special to know.
You, yes, you, are the one God is seeking to turn your life into something utterly extraordinary.
The Bible is a treasure chest of examples; no single line is random or pointless. God presented Moses with an unusual revelation in the harsh desert, as described in Exodus 3.2:
“And the Angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire from the midst of a bush. So he looked, and behold, the bush was burning with fire, but the bush was not consumed.”
A regular bush turned into a remarkable sight out in the desert. The bush was in flames of fire, yet it wasn’t destroyed. What brought about this extraordinary event? The answer is clear: God was there.
That’s all it takes to transform your life from ordinary to extraordinary. Are you tired of living a monotonous life, like another dried-up bush in a vast desert?
A dry bush is merely a dry bush. But a dry bush touched by the flame of the Holy Spirit is nothing less than extraordinary!
Are you willing to transform, to become not just another face in the crowd but a sight to behold? Invite the Holy Spirit into your life, as He is the flame that will kindle changes deep within you.
And be sure that once touched by the Holy Spirit, your life will never be the same again.
