Depending on which context people use certain words, they can pass certainty or bring uncertainty. If someone says the following, “If I can, I will help you.” This kind of statement does not bring across any confidence whatsoever, and I would think twice before going to this person for help in my time of need.

Now, if someone spoke to me in this manner, “When you are in need, I will help you.” Without a doubt, this person would be my first choice in my time of need.

When you need help, who do you turn to? Is it a friend, a family member, a spouse, or your child? Who? We can all agree that, at some point, they will disappoint us in our time of need. But there is One who we can always count on, the God of the Bible, and He is always ready and available to help us in our times of need. This is the way He equips us—with His Word:

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you. (Isaiah 43:2)

What more can we ask for? It is clear in His words that no matter the situation or the hardship, He will be with us! It could be water, rivers, or fire; He will not allow us to be consumed. You can be certain you will pass through the water, river, and fire; it‘s not a matter of “if” but “when.” Are you ready?

His Word has power, and when we put it into practice, we will experience His power in and through our lives.

His Holy Spirit is the guarantee that life‘s problems will not consume us, and it‘s the greatest gift one could ask for. This gift is also the key to securing our salvation.

Don’t be left out; put everything aside, and surrender your all in His hands. He does need 24 hours to fill you with His Spirit; it can happen right now. It’s a matter of faith.

We have one day left in the 21-Day Fast of Daniel, but today can be your “What a Day!”

May the God of the Bible bless you!
