Have you ever played a game of luck? Perhaps it was something small, such as a bet between friends or a simple card game. Maybe you’ve gone bigger: gambling, high stakes, putting it all on the line. You put your trust in mere luck, hoping that you would win.
People play high stakes every day. Often, people put their faith in numbers, people, or the promise that someone or something can help them. Maybe this is you. You have found yourself time and time again putting your trust in all the wrong places to no avail.
The word of God has something to teach us about having faith. It says this:
“The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17
The Just are those who believe in God, those who depend on God. Many have tried putting their faith in people and things, in what they think and what they know, and time and time again, they have failed. Today, their life is a result of putting their faith in the wrong place. They are haunted by their mistake. That is because when we speak about faith, our first Ally must be God.
Think about the problem you have been facing right now and think if you have been putting your faith completely in God. Remember, there’s nothing too big or too small for God. With Him, it isn’t a game of chance or a question of luck. When you put your faith in God, you have complete assurance that He will help you. From today on, be just. Live by faith.
May the God of the Bible bless you!
