How can such a small word carry so much weight? Let’s take a look at the definition of the word, ‘if’:

  • In case that.
  • Granting or supposing that.
  • On condition that.

How many times have you heard or used the word, ‘if’?

How many times have you heard the following: ‘if you call during this time you will win such and such a prize.’ ‘If you complete this course in such and such a time you will receive such and such discount.’

How many times you even used this word with a family member – a younger sibling: “If you get good grades this term I will take you on vacation to such and such place.”

If the person wants you to keep your part of the promise they must be willing to do their part as well, right?

Keeping this in mind take a look at this Bible verse:

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

No matter how many sins or what type of sins you have committed, once you are willing to do your part (confess your sins to the Lord). He is more than ready to cleanse you from ALL – not some – but ALL unrighteousness.

Knowing this truth, go ahead, go find a quiet place and tell him everything, especially if you have been carrying the heavy burden of sins for a long time. He invites you to now let go.

Offload and enjoy the power of His never-failing love.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
