How many times have you looked at a successful person and wondered how they got there? We all know that success doesn’t just happen. It comes after a lot of hard work and self-investment.
Let’s take for example, someone who wants to own their own business. They cannot simply open up a shop and start selling, there is a lot of groundwork that needs to happen. Maybe they hear about a business seminar and decide to attend it. And then they hear about another, and attend that too! They will attend it well prepared with a notebook and pen to take notes and tips, in order to learn how to have a successful business.
Not only that, but after the seminar they follow through on the steps given in the seminar. Because they know that if they take it seriously and implement them, then they can make the necessary changes to climb the ladder of success.
Tomorrow when you look at that person, they will be an established business person, why? Because they decided to obey the instructions that they heard during that seminar.
Can you imagine if someone succeeds by obeying the voice of a man, how much more they could succeed if they obey the voice of God?
This is what this Bible verse is saying:
“Therefore, whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” (Matthew 7:24-25)
When you follow and obey the voice of God you will have an established life.
Don’t get me wrong, you will still face problems, fights and tribulations, but you will not fall. You will withstand them all!
This is the benefit of obeying the voice of God. This is how you can truly be successful.
