I know it’s not February 14th, but let’s talk about love!
Do you remember the day you met your spouse for the first time?

For those of you who are still in love and together, you can probably remember the color of the clothes, the place you met, the time you met, what you ate, etc.
I am sure if you are still together, you have made time to talk with each other. Maybe you use “Communication is the key” a lot, and I do believe communication is the key myself! It is what draws a couple closer and closer each day. For those of you who have been married for years, you understand a look and a touch without even speaking.

Just by looking at each other, you can tell when something is wrong and you are ready to help solve the problem causing your spouse pain. By taking care of your relationship, with your spouse you can truly say that you have a healthy relationship with your spouse. Let me say congratulations to you both, keep it up!

Now, I have a question for you; how is your relationship with the Lord Jesus? Have you met Him, have you given your life to Him? If you have done so, congratulations! Well done, stay with Him.

If you say, I haven’t met or given my life to the Lord Jesus, you can do so at this moment. This special invitation is just for you.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
(John 15:4-5)

How can you abide in the Lord? Remember examples of the couple above? They communicated with and spent time with each other, and their relationship developed and grew stronger day by day. You can do the same, speak with the Lord, and allow Him to speak with you by reading and obeying His Word daily. These actions will enrich your relationship with the Lord. He will take care of your every need like any good spouse, but He is much more than a spouse and has much more to offer you!

When you accept and make Him your Lord and Savior, you will be taken care of. Don’t get me wrong, you will still face problems, but rest assured, He will not allow them to consume you, and you don’t need to fear because this is the greatest investment you could ever make. This is stronger than wedding vows; it’s a vow that is valid even after death. How powerful is that?

May the God of the Bible bless you!
