The day of Pentecost was the day that the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples in the Cenacle of the Holy Spirit (the Upper room). This was during the feast of the First Fruits in Israel. When the Israelites came out of Egypt, the Lord gave a command to Moses to tell the people of Israel to separate the First Fruits of their harvest. They were to separate their First Fruits and bring it to the tabernacle which now-a-days is the Temple, the church, the House of God. The people could not eat from the fruits before bringing the First Fruits to the feast.
Moses pretty much told the people, “This is what the Lord is telling you to do…Remember that the Lord is the one who gave you this land, now that you have this harvest, take the First Fruits and bring it to have a feast with the Lord.” (Can be read in Leviticus 23: 9-14)
The First Fruits is like the first child. The Bible says in the days of Zechariah, when his wife gave birth, they called all the neighbors together to celebrate with him, to celebrate with the family. The first born, the First Fruit is a great motive for celebration.
When we talk about Tithes, we are not talking about 10%, We are talking about recognition!
We are talking about you recognizing that the Lord is the one who has blessed you. When you receive your salary, your paycheck, when you receive a bonus, or you win a court case and receive a settlement… the first thing you think of is the Lord. Even before you think about touching the money, you know that what belongs to God is His!
All faithful tithers will be coming on Sunday, June 3rd to give their ‘First Fruits’ (their tithes) to the Lord, and have a feast with the Lord with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The tithers will also be receiving the blessing of their hands. The diagram of their hands will be sent to the replica of the Upper room at the Temple of Solomon in Brazil. There will be a cry out for all those who are faithful to God in their tithes and obey His commands.
May the God of the Bible bless all of you!
