Have you ever driven down a street during the Christmas holidays and saw a house all decorated with lights and ornaments and thought to yourself, “wow, what a nice house”. You may have even gone as far as to say, “they must be so happy”. But how do you know what is going on inside of that house. They may be miserable inside there. They may be living a completely fake Christmas dream. Sometimes inside of that beautiful house is just fighting and arguing and unhappiness. That’s what I call a Fake Christmas.

A Fake Christmas is when a person is living by appearance. They have everything on the outside looking so perfect, but inside of the house is violence, addiction, financial misery, strife, and even insults and hate.

A person buys many gifts, but is full of debts and can’t even pay the mortgage. Everyone smiles at the dinner table, but behind the smile is anger and unhappiness. This is a Fake Christmas! There is nothing “Merry” about that.

God wants to give you a happy life, forever.

Tomorrow on Christmas Day, we will have the Lord’s Supper and the work of the Lord will be done inside of you, not outside. Then you will not need to depend on make-up, decorations, name brand clothes, jewelry, or anything outward to make you happy. You will receive the happiness from within. The happiness that only God can give.

May the God of the Bible Bless You
