There are a number of reasons for a person to be in tears: a funny joke, a pain, a moment of happiness, but the most common is a moment of sadness. Unfortunately, there are many who know the tears of sadness far too well.

My tears have been my food day and night, while they continually say to me, “Where is your God?” Psalms 42:3

Perhaps you can relate to the above verse. It’s as if during both day and night you feel an uncontrollable sadness that you can’t seem to shake. Your tears have become a part of your daily routine and you have become accustomed to that, accepting it as part of life.

Your tears do not go unnoticed. God sees your tears and He can dry them. Maybe you have asked this question before: “Where is God? Does He not see my tears?”

Yes, He does see your tears but He also wants to hear your voice. God does not act out of sympathy – because He feels sorry for you. God acts as a response to faith. Faith calls His attention and allows Him to jump into action on your behalf. Tears alone have not fixed what is broken, but your faith can.

Does this mean you should never cry? Of course not, crying is a part of human nature, but it does not bring the desired results, so there does come a time when you will have to decide to wipe those tears and activate your faith.

Be sincere with God. Tell Him what causes your tears. He wants to hear from you. When we pray Heaven comes down and God brings us what we need.

May the God of the Bible bless you
