Have you ever felt like you’re taking one step forward and ten steps backward? You pray, you try to do better, you make progress, and when you think things are finally coming together, something knocks you down again. It can feel like something is working against you, draining your peace, and keeping you from moving forward.

Sometimes, the battles we face go deeper than what we can see with our natural eyes. Evil is invisible, but its effects are very real. Evil wants you discouraged, distracted, fearful, and convinced that you will never break free from the cycle you’re in. But do not let what you feel make you forget what you believe.

The Bible reminds us in James 4:7, “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” Notice that it says he will flee. You are not powerless. You are not without hope. Through Jesus Christ, you have access to the strength, authority, and freedom you need to stand firm.

You may be facing spiritual battles, difficult circumstances, or moments that seem impossible to overcome. But you do not have to surrender to fear, despair, or defeat. Keep praying. Keep trusting God. Stand on His Word. Guard your heart and refuse to let discouragement have the final say.
There is freedom in the name of Jesus!

So, if today feels like ten steps backward, do not lose heart. Take another step forward with God. You may not see everything happening behind the scenes, and you may not understand every battle you face, but you can keep your eyes on the One who has already overcome the world. Stand firm in your faith, resist the enemy, and walk boldly in the freedom Jesus offers. Keep the faith. Keep standing. In Jesus’ name, freedom is possible.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
