It’s the time of the Olympics, and the runners are already on their mark. Can you imagine the thoughts going through their minds?

All the sacrifices they made, all the sleep they lost to get up early mornings and stay up late, that rigid diet…

Back to the tracks: the gun goes off, and it’s time to run like never before, no looking back, no turning to the left or right. The only focus is on the finish line and the gold medal!

No one that is in such a race accepts to stop in the middle of the race. Sometimes you have runners that trip and fall, but they get up and keep running and many times even end up winning the race! What a great reward.

This is the very point Paul wanted to convey to us when he said,

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. (2 Timothy 4:7)

No matter what you are facing right now, remember every day is a battle that all of us must overcome. Don’t give up; fight the good fight and finish your course, and your reward will be great.

Remember, you are not alone. God is with you and for you. In a race, there is only one winner; let that one be you.

May the God of the Bible bless you.
