You may have seen those dramatic and tense scenes from movies when one of your favorite characters is dying in his hospital bed, hooked up to a life support machine. The machine that monitors his heart beat (known as “life support”) refers to a combination of machines that keep a person’s body alive when their organs stop functioning. Those who have been between life and death know that the beeps and sounds of the life support machine are tense. Every second is of immense value.

When we stop to reflect on this subject, we realize that time in this world is short and valuable.

Time should not be wasted, because time means life. How many people waste their time, playing with their lives and end up unhappy and lost? How many people think that they don’t need to take God seriously because they have ‘time’? Or they hold grudges against family members, thinking that ‘time’ is on their side?

The Bible says:

“… But whoever endures to the end shall be saved.” (Matthew 24:13)

Perhaps you have found it hard to stay focused. Maybe life’s complications make you want to give up or try other ways and in the back of your mind you tell yourself, that one day you will return to God. I repeat, time should not be wasted. Here’s how you can stay strong and focused: Live in a way that pleases God. That’ all! When a person does God’s will, God helps them and gives them the strength to stay focused until the end. This means that you will wind up conquering in this life, and much more importantly, you will conquer eternal life in heaven.

May the God of the Bible bless you.
