In countries worldwide, numerous roads on record are dangerous to drive on. Roads that, even in the best of conditions, have resulted in fatalities. Every turn, move, and corner is a potential risk. Interestingly, people travel these roads every day without trouble. Locals drive the streets without worrying because they know exactly what they are doing and what’s ahead of them.
It reminds us of this verse in the Bible:
“‘I will go before you and make the crooked places straight; I will break in pieces the gates of bronze And cut the bars of iron.” Isaiah 45:2
The Lord promises to go ahead. He goes before those who belong to Him. Although the twists and turns of life can be risky, problems may come, and the road of life can lead to dead ends, obstacles, and slippery slopes, God goes before you.
You may be facing a dangerous road right now. You are on a never-ending highway with this diagnosis in your health or problem in your marriage. The problems of 2023 may have traveled with you into the new year. No matter the road you are on, you are not alone.
God goes ahead of you and breaks the barriers and obstacles before you. He can see ahead, knows the route, and will lead you to the life He has prepared for you.
