We normally celebrate or throw a party when someone gets a new job, graduates, has a baby, gets married, buys a new car, gets good grades at school and so many other reasons. We always celebrate achievements.

The power of God is also celebrated when His children are high achievers. But through this Bible verse, God shows us the real reason to celebrate:

“Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” Luke 15:10.

This Bible verse gives us a clear understanding that the conquest of our salvation (repentance of a sinner) is worth the celebration. All material conquests are temporary but the repentance from our sins and the salvation of our soul brings eternal results. When you receive the Holy Spirit, you have the capacity to conquer here on earth but most of all the eternal salvation of your soul.

Now the question is: Have you been seeking to conquer the temporary achievement or the eternal achievement? Perhaps it’s time to change your focus.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
