Every day, we evaluate our options, and we compare and choose what is best for us. For example, when grocery shopping, you compare which piece of fruit looks best before you decide which one to take home.

We compare because we want quality. We look, compare, see which one is most suitable and then decide. And we do this over and over again each day.

The Bible also makes comparisons to help us understand God’s word and will for our lives.

“The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven.” 1 Corinthians 15: 47

The first Adam, was created by God. The second is His Son… our Lord Jesus.

Let’s read, compare and examine the difference between the “first man” and “Second Man” below:

– One was God’s creation… The other was a God’s Child.

– The first was disobedient, and the second was obedient.

– The first failed. The second was victorious.

– The first brought death. The second brought life;

– The first sinned, but the second brought salvation;

– The first showed us what not to do it. The second was an example for us all.

Now that you know the difference between the two, which one do you want to follow?

If you decide to be a child of God, the first step is to give your life to Him.

He will take care of you in every way (like a good father), but for that to happen, you need to follow in Jesus’ footsteps. John 3:5 shows what the next step is.

Now that you have read this post, it’s time to compare your own choices with God’s choices for you, and then decide about what’s really best for you.

Be honest, can your decisions really outshine God’s decisions for you?

May the God of the Bible bless you,

Bishop Joshua Fonseca
