Have you ever flown in an airplane? Before takeoff everything seems so big. The airport, the other planes, machines, appear so enormous. However, while in the air, even the mountains seem small. The higher you are, the smaller things seem to get.

It’s quite interesting to think about, considering the same can be said about our spiritual condition. When a person is just starting in their faith problems arise that seem so big, almost impossible to overcome. On the other hand, as that person matures in faith, they constantly remember that God makes the impossible, possible.

That is exactly what Paul and Silas did. Because of their spiritual perspective they saw their problems differently and were able to react to their problem with a mature faith.

“But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.” Acts 16:25

They were imprisoned, for serving God, in fact but we can see through their example that they didn’t complain or ask why but instead, trusted in God. As a result of that mature faith, God set them free.

When you think of a mature faith, can you relate? Or have you allowed yourself to be on the same level as your problems? Change your perspective. Before worrying or complaining when a problem comes your way, turn it over to God. When you change your perspective, you can change your life.

May the God of the Bible bless you!
