How do you see your family? Perhaps the image that pops into your head is one of sadness. You imagine only fights and disagreements. You see a family member who is incarcerated, addicted or in the hospital. You are in the season where families should be united but you can only imagine a broken family.

It may feel as though you have been fighting an uphill battle. Despite your attempts to change things your family is in a tough situation and you have looked high and low for a solution.

Well, your solution is in the word of God:

“But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.””Joshua 24:15

Instead of seeing your family as they are now, see them through spiritual eyes. See the family that God has prepared for you; the one that serves Him. Imagine a family all together serving God. Imagine the peace, unity, health and wellness of that household.

This is the family that God has prepared for you. Perhaps you have felt you’re fighting alone. Fight alone no longer. Change your perspective. Place your family in God’s hands and allow Him to do this great work in your house. Walk into a new year with a new life and a new reality.

May the God of the Bible bless you,

Bishop Bira Joshua
