I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, “sleep like a baby.” It’s used to describe a peaceful and restful sleep. We can all guess why babies sleep so sweetly. They have no responsibilities, bills, worries, or problems. As we grow older, that stops being the case. With growing comes issues, concerns, and bad news. We begin to see the world as it is: filled with troubles.

Perhaps it has been a long time since you have slept soundly. You go to bed worrying about tomorrow and wake up already with a to-do list running through your mind. You wish for peaceful sleep, but it never comes. There is a cure for that. No, not a sleep aid, remedy, playlist, or limit to caffeine. Simply become as you were as a baby: worry-free.

It seems impossible, doesn’t it? But your worries and cares don’t have to be carried alone. You cannot worry about tomorrow’s problems when you have no control over the future. Do as the Word of God says and cast your cares upon God.

Babies do not need to worry because they know they are well taken care of by their parents. God is your Heavenly Father. He takes care of you, watches over you, and helps you in times of need. Put your life in His hands, and you will always be at peace.

“When you lie down, you will not be afraid;
Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.”
Proverbs 3:24

May the God of the Bible bless you!
