I believe everyone knows the purpose of eating daily meals and I am sure everyone will also agree that we eat to take care of our physical body.

If we don’t eat and take care of the physical body, we will become vitamin deficient. Many people lack vitamins because they don’t eat the fruits and vegetables or take multivitamins that supply a specific need.

The big question is this; how do you know when you are vitamin deficient? You start to see the signs. Your body starts to speak to you, and of course those who listen to it will go to the doctor to find out what’s going on with them.

With that in mind I have another question? How do you know when you are spiritually “vitamin deficient”? You know when you see signs of spiritual weakness. The Lord Jesus once said that His body is true food and His blood is true drink. And that’s what the Lord’s Supper is all about.

What is the Lord’s Supper? The Lord’s Supper is not just when we eat the bread and drink the cup, because they are just a symbol. We must have the Lord’s Supper every single day, just like when we eat breakfast, lunch or dinner. We eat three meals a day to nourish our body.

Whenever you do things to take care of your spiritual life, like wake up in the morning and read the Bible, it is a supper you are eating with the Lord.

When you take quality time to pray for yourself (not only when you are in church), you take that moment in the day to seek the Lord… you are participating in the Lord’s Supper.  The Lord’s Supper means to have communion with Him.

We need to have the Lord’s Supper (remain in the presence of God) every single moment of every single day!

When you value your spiritual life, you take all the necessary steps to maintain a healthy spiritual state, and this is a matter of decision. Look what the word of God says;

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Revelation 3:20

It’s not about food, but about your relationship with God.

May the God of the Bible bless you
