When you go for a job, the first thing required is a background check.
A background check is also required when you apply for a credit card.
Some apartment applications also require a background check.
The background check’s primary purpose is to ensure that you will avoid causing the company or bank problems in the future.

If you apply for a credit card and your background check shows you have unpaid debts, you will not be approved for a new card. If you use an apartment and your background check shows that you owe rent on your previous apartment, you will not be approved for this new apartment.

If you apply for a job and your background check shows that you were incarcerated, chances are they will not hire you for that Job.

Today’s way of life is used to protect properties, businesses, etc. People need to know your background (past) to decide your today. This is the opposite when it comes to the Lord Jesus.

But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” (1 Sam. 16:7)

God doesn’t need a background check, and when God sees you, he doesn’t look to what you did but who you are now. Don’t see yourself as trash, don’t see yourself as nothing; you are a child of God!

May the God of the Bible bless you!
