If at first, you don’t succeed…

I’m sure you are able to complete the sentence: …try, try, try again.

That’s usually the case with anything we want to do. Rarely, do we get it right on the first try. We’ve had first-hand experience the first time we tried to walk, the first time we drove a car, the first time we made a new meal, and the list goes on.

The fact is, life is full of failures; however, every failure can become a success. Maybe you have been feeling like a failure. You think you’ve tried everything and now you’re ready to give up. Don’t give up. God wants to give you another chance.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

The devil sets us up to fail but God promises success.

Perhaps you have heard this verse so many times and can even recite it word for word, but what does it mean to you? How has it worked for you? Your joy has been stolen, your desire to live is gone and your life has been destroyed. Let us focus on the second half of this verse – on what God wants to do for you.

He wants to give you life in abundance.

If you have been feeling like there is no more hope, take this opportunity to surrender your life to God. Yes, give it up to God. Give Him the broken and destroyed life that you have been carrying around and allow Him to exchange it for the abundance that He promised He would give to you.

And to you who feel like you’ve done it all and didn’t succeed: …try, try, try again.

May the God of the Bible bless you,
