We have been helped since before entering this world. From the womb our mothers helped us grow. As we grew our parents helped us develop and learn. Along the way people played a role in helping us. Be it teachers, bosses, friends, family. Help came in some way or form.

However, as time passes by, it’s clear that no one’s help is forever. Eventually, we left school, moved on from a job, unfortunately may have even lost a parent or loved one. We eventually learn to help ourselves. But even we fail at times.

So where can we find real help that never disappoints?

“If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—” John 14:15-16

Forever.

Comforting, isn’t it? Imagine having someone who is always there for you, to guide you, protect you, to help you whenever you need it. That is what the Lord Jesus promises when He describes His Spirit; the Helper.

But it doesn’t come without its requirements. We have to keep His commandments; to do what He asks us to do and in turn He gives us a life unlike any other. It won’t always be easy but when we keep and practice the Word of God, He rewards us with His Spirit.

What more could we ask for?

May the God of the Bible bless you,
